AI

After keenly observing the working of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on law, we in TheLawyerics firmly believe that the technology needs regulation urgently. In India, there is no direct law on the subject at present. If something goes wrong, we shall have to rely on the Information Technology Act, 2000 combined with criminal law and torts law. But why not to have direct law. We have law on nuclear technology because it is both boon and bane. So is AI. It is likely to have disruptive effect in the coming years. Let us make advance preparation to regulate it so that it can be used for the good of mankind, rather than seeing chaos all around.
